My old regulator was 10 years old and I noticed a leak and it was making some high humming noises more than normal (it turns out I had a propane exchange tank that had poor threads). Regardless I was overhauling the guts of the grill and figured after ten years this is one part that I had to replace as it poses the greatest risk on the whole thing and I might as well stick to what worked for ten years. An adjustable wrench is all you need to hook this up.
